A month until takeoff...

The weeks are going to fly by (pun intended) as Crista and I prepare for our time in Indonesia. We have been given charge of the break time between sessions. So I'm pulling resources together for some high energy activities to kick off break time. Then we'll do low impact activities before heading back to our art sessions. Also, Crista and I are going to be assistants in the art sessions, which include: photo journaling, aerodynamics (something with making paper airplanes), hula dancing, fine arts, and card making - to name a few.

I think I might need to start practicing my hula dancing.

To give you an idea where we are going... the string of islands at the bottom of the map are part of the 17,000 + islands that comprise Indonesia. We are flying into the capital, Jakarta, on the main island of Java. Then we travel by plane to a small town called Malang, not even indicated on the map, but still on the island of Java. It is roughly located SSW of Surabaya. For more reference points, the tsunami that hit a few years ago in the town of Banda Aceh is located on the NE tip of the neighboring island of Sumatra. That concludes the geography lesson for today.

Thank you to all that have purchased food as part of our mini fundraiser for game supplies and travel to the schools. My kitchen has been a busy place lately!
