It’s been real Mexico, can’t believe it’s taken so long to make the visit. As most people come to Mexico for the resorts along the coast, I had to be different and check out the hiking scene. Here are a few random pics from our time visiting 5 states of Mexico and some lessons.
1 - Traffic is real and you need to take the google map arrival time and add an hour.
2 - I continue to be challenged to up my level of spice in food. My favorite meal was a salmon in a tangerine sauce (I know it wasn’t a Mexican dish and I’m ok with that ).
3 - The hiking is serious and at altitude. It will challenge the legs and lungs, but also gives the eyes great views.
4 - Not all beds are created for sleep, especially when the mattress is on top of a concrete platform. And no matter the time zone difference 3 am is the magic hour for
5 - It continues to be possible to share a laugh across cultures and languages.
Hasta Luego Mexico!
