LIFECYCLES ECR '23 - Day 3
Danvers, MA to Warwick, RI - 94 miles - 2657 ft of elevation gain
Our second full day of riding and we have almost 200 miles completed. It was another beautiful day! We left our hotel in Danvers to head south and around the outskirts of Boston. There were several rail trails that we jumped on that were well shaded from the beating sun. We hit all the different kinds of riding today. From trails, to rural roads, to neighborhoods, to city streets, to off-roading, and even a cool bridge crossing.
I love seeing the different architecture and old homes along the way. Just after lunch we met up with my uncle, Thom, and his friend, Rich, and got some extra history along the way, they are both from Rhode Island. I’ve ridden many places with my uncle, but never in his home state, so that I was nice to see some of his world. They are joining us in the morning for part of the ride.
Tomorrow is another long day with 88 miles and nearly 5100 ft of climbing, so it will be the test of our leg muscles for sure after 2 days of riding almost 100 miles each day.
